Spark Digital Media is an award-winning, full-service multimedia and motion picture production studio based in Houston, Texas. Founded in 2004, Spark offers its clients unmatched quality in complete media production solutions, with the staff and resources to make your next project brilliant.

While Spark specializes in motion picture production and new media concept development and creation, we have also provided production services for clientele such as Humble Independent School District, University of Houston Downtown, Myron Steves & Associates, Capture the Market, Del Papas Distributing, and Lakewood Church.

In addition to the variety of work-for-hire that Spark handles, the studio has a robust original content development wing, with several projects in varying stages of production.

Mark K Sullivan, Director/Cinematographer

Following a phenomenally successful first career in digital data communications and satellite engineering, Mark decided to pursue his life-long passion for film in a full-time capacity.

Since founding Spark Digital Media in 2004, Mark has directed, shot and edited award-winning short and feature projects in Mini-DV and High-Definition digital video. He is Executive Producer on feature films such as Garrison,Cowboy Smoke, Gospel Hill and the forthcoming Hittin' the Bricks, as well as having directed award-winning short films such as Cleveland in My Dreams and Pen Pals.

Following a successful stint as an ordained minister in non-profit work, Carlos transitioned into his lifelong passion for filmmaking. In a rapid ascent through production circles, Carlos has gone from pastor to production assistant to producer in only 2 years. Armed with focus and determination, as well as a formal background in digital media production and a shrewd eye for story-telling, Carlos has crewed for feature films such as Cook County, Tree of Life, Wolvesbayne, Mindsight and Sterling: The Secret of the Lost Medallion prior to his move into producing with projects such as Jon Wuz Here and Hittin' the Bricks. Carlos studied Communications and Media Production at the University of Houston.

Toby Bornhauser, V.P. of Physical Production

Toby brings with him world class, formal training in filmmaking, coupled with experience shooting and editing video for corporate, legal and event productions. Combined with management skills honed in private business, Toby's practical experience and production savvy make him a valuable member of the Spark team. Toby has crewed on feature films such as This is America and Primo, and television programs such as Bridezillas, and Last Comic Standing. Toby holds a degree in Film from University of Nevada in Las Vegas.

Javier Velez, Post-Production Supervisor

Javier brings a master's touch to Spark's post-production work, with a heavy background in editing, sound mixing and computer-generated effects. Javier's passion as an award-winning filmmaker is never more evident than when he is practicing the "hidden art-form" of editing. Javier has edited feature films such asMindsight, as well as innumerable industrial films. Javier is skilled in 3D modeling, animation, compositing, editing, sound mixing, sound editing, musical composition, color-correction and CG imagery.

Solomon is a second-generation film industry person, and after several years dealing in high-volume broadcast sales and marketing, brings those skills and his production background to the Sales and Marketing side of Spark Digital Media. Solomon has crewed for such feature films as Tree of Life, Mao's Last Dance and Mindsight. During his time in broadcast, Solomon worked for companies such as Infinity Broadcasting, Cummulus Broadcasting and New Millenium Marketing Group.
